This is the only book I have been able to find from this author. I'm dissapointed because other than some edidting this was a very enjoyable book. After reading numerous works in this genre I can honestly say I found this story refreshing. Even though it deals with vampires and fae the world in which their in is completely new. There's not a lot of sugarcoating, the author writes the vampires as what they are at times, monsters. The interaction with the main character Kiya and the other characters is believable in that it's not rushed. She doesn't immediately fall for the typical brooding hero, mainly because there isn't one. She is faced with the brutality of the people she's around and has to learn to accept it or not. While harsh in some battle scenes, I feel this story would be appropiate for young adults as well as older ones. There is some romance but nothing sexual. It seems this is the first book of a possible 7 series. Hopefully the second will be coming soon and I won't have to wait a year as so many authors do. By that time I usually forget why I liked the first so much and put the sequels on the back burner for a while. Give this book a try if you enjoy exploring new worlds and dynamics along with your dose of vamps.

Dusk Realm The Prisoner eBook Krystal Roseman Reviews
This was a very good book to read. I really like several of the characters in the story, especially the king. I look forward to future parts to this story. I do recommend this book, especially if you enjoy vampires. The writer creates the vampires the way I would vision them being and acting.
I am normally not a reader of vampire books, but I really liked this one. The main character's thoughts are believable and her character is witty and funny. The ending left me wanting more. Sequel!!
Twilight diehards be warned, this is not a Twilight-like vampire book (which is a VERY good thing). While there are a few grammatical errors, they aren't bothersome and don't hinder the reader in any way. Plot-wise, I couldn't put it down! There's a little bit of everything in here a hint of romance, action, fantasy, and a little mystery too. The leading character seems like a real person that you can identify with throughout the entire book. You can imagine the scenery without getting too bogged down in excess descriptions. This was a fantastic, well-written novel. I can't wait to see what comes next and hopefully there will be a series out of this!
